Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace: This program will overview the recent legislative focus on psychological safety (e.g. Bill 132 and 163), relevant case law, and due diligence measures to protect psychological health and safety in the workplace.

About the presenter

Bio: Kelly McDermott is a Senior Solicitor of Labour Relations at the Regional Municipality of Durham. Kelly’s practice areas include: labour, employment, occupational health and safety, human rights, WSIB, privacy, and immigration law. Kelly regularly represents the Region in a wide array of human resources litigation and acts as the chief spokesperson for the Region in collective bargaining with 8 different bargaining units. Prior to joining the Region, Kelly was in private practice in Toronto as a labour and employment lawyer for both private and public sector clients.
